International Moke Day Sept 2025
What a sight! 11 Mokes and a couple of Minis lined up at the Narrows Bridge to kick off International Moke Day. From there, we cruised south to Villa Dalmacia in Spearwood, where we joined forces with the Italian Job Run from the Southern Districts Mini Club. The turnout was fantastic, with plenty of Minis, Mokes, and smiling club members.
Villa Dalmacia rolled out the red carpet for us, serving up a feast that kept everyone warm and happy while we sheltered from the rain. The food, the atmosphere, and the camaraderie made it a stop to remember.
With full bellies and high spirits, the Mokes then headed north to Hillarys Boat Harbour to round out the day. A brilliant run, a great celebration, and plenty of memories made.

Bindoon Classic Car Show Sept 2025
Great day and a Big Win!
What a perfect spring Sunday for a country drive. Around 10 Minis gathered bright and early in Ellenbrook before heading out on the road to Bindoon. The drive itself was a treat, clear skies, rolling green hills, and the kind of relaxed cruise that makes you fall in love with springtime motoring all over again.
Bindoon put on its usual charm, with the oval buzzing with car enthusiasts and an impressive lineup of classic vehicles of every shape and size. It was a lively day filled with friendly faces, plenty of bonnet-up chats, and the kind of atmosphere only a small country town can deliver.
And then came the highlight… 🏆
In some very tough competition with outstanding classics from across WA, our very own Vaughan Richmond took home “Best Classic Car” for his blue 1997 Cooper. 🎉🥳
This is the first time in decades that a Mini Owners Club member has come home with silverware, making it a truly proud moment for the club. A huge congratulations to Vaughan — and here’s to more wins in the future!

Breakky and Backroads - August 2025
Breakky & Backroads Run – Minis Take Over the Hills!
What a morning! We had 32 Minis and 50 people out for our Winter Breakfast run — easily one of our biggest gatherings in recent times. This time we were joined by friends from the Mini Car Club and the Southern Districts Car Club, who spotted the event online and asked if they could come along. Of course, the more Minis the merrier! It was brilliant to mingle with members from all three clubs and see such an impressive lineup.
After fuelling up at the Masonmill Café, we hit the Perth Hills backroads before tackling our very own Italian Job moment — the legendary Zig Zag descent. Dozens of Minis nose-to-tail, snaking down the bends — it doesn’t get more iconic than that.

Muffins and Mini - River Run - July 2025
Muffins & Minis — A New Club Favourite?
Our recent Muffins & Minis run was a fantastic success, bringing together 21 classic Minis, nearly 50 people, and, crucially, 50 freshly baked muffins for a morning of motoring fun.
We kicked things off in Kings Park, where we lined up our Minis for all to admire. After a quick briefing from Marco, we set off in convoy, and 21 Minis rolling through the streets of Perth definitely turned some heads! There were smiles, waves, and more than a few curious glances along the way.
We made a stop by the river to capture the moment with a photo of all the Minis lined up against a spectacular backdrop, before continuing our meander past some of Perth’s most enviable real estate.
The run ended at Dome Fremantle, where we scored the best parking spots and cracked open the muffins. From there, the chatter flowed, Minis, mods, memories and more, with a great mix of club members and newcomers enjoying the morning together.
A special shoutout to our junior photographers who snapped some excellent shots — you’ll find a few of their pics in the gallery below.
All in all, a brilliant day. We reckon Muffins & Minis might just be a keeper on the club calendar — what do you think?
Gingin British Car Day — Sunday 18 May 2025
We couldn’t have asked for a better day for our annual pilgrimage to the charming town of Gingin. Eight Mini Owners Club members set off in convoy from Midland, eager to secure a good spot at Granville Park — which was already buzzing with classic Minis by the time we arrived. This year saw a fantastic turnout of 35 classic Minis, Mokes, and Bini’s, all enjoying a smooth run up the highways under clear skies. The show, brilliantly organised by the Jaguar Car Club, was a feast for British car enthusiasts, featuring everything from Rolls Royces to Triumphs and vintage Fords. Visitors soaked up the warm country hospitality, browsed local crafts and produce, and were treated to the stirring sounds of the Highland Pipe Band by the lake. Most of us found ourselves lingering well into the afternoon, reluctant to leave such a wonderful day behind. A huge thanks to everyone involved — we’re already looking forward to next year!

MOC Workshop Inspection Day - May 2025
Our annual inspection day at Keith McCracken’s automotive workshop in Ashfield was a great success! Eight members brought their cars in to get them up on the hoist for a thorough look-over. Thankfully, only minor issues were spotted — a few small oil leaks and some tired suspension bushes, nothing too serious. After the inspections, everyone enjoyed the now-famous sausage sizzle, complete with bread, sauce, and good laughs. Big thanks to Keith for generously providing the workshop space, to Pui for manning the BBQ, and to Sam for his expert eye as chief scrutineer. It was a fantastic day of cars, community, and catching up. We hope to see even more members taking advantage of this opportunity next May!
